To design specific spaces

1/ Institut Paul Bocuse
Mr Hervé Fleury, the head of Institut Paul Bocuse in 2015 asked us to design several spaces and furnitures dedicated to students or to the school offices. We designed for example the “talent wall”. The goal of this space is to emphasis the talents of Institut Paul Bocuse students. Each student have two 10cmX10cm squares pictures to express himself. We created small shelves system to present them all in a specific space designed.

2/ Someo
We designed a furniture range adapted to the application of micro naping developped by Someo. We also worked on dedicaded napping rooms for companies, these rooms are specific and adapted for each company with the initial collection of furnitures designed for Someo.

his project was a public command by the city of Florac. They wanted a furniture to observe and relax, to meditate and discuss alone and with your family. We won the public competition to design a furniture which permit to people to relax and contemplate the landscape around Florac’s castle.

Small islands inspired by the industrial past of the city mainly focused on ribbon production active in the XIX century

From a call to a book

Amaury once called Pierre Gaudin, co-founder of Creaphis editions, after a short talk and some emails, Pierre decided to develop a book which will talk about Amaury’s creative process. This took 2 years.

The book itself, in its form and content, has been designed to offer the reader a special experience. Some fifteen works are presented and discussed. Marie Pok, director of the Grand Hornu heritage complex, gives a critique of Amaury Poudray’s work as tackling issues of contemporary society. The other texts — interviews with the designer himself and some of his working partners (manufacturers, entrepreneurs, gallery owners, publishers, etc.) — reflect and embody networking in action. Illustrated with preparatory drawings and sketches, photographs of the works created (Laure Mélone) and other documents.

The Gallery

The Gallery Brussels

1/ Telaio

2/ Rosmowa

3/ Prelude

Limited editions for The Gallery

In 2010, 2013 and 2016, every 3 years we designed 3 collections for The Gallery Brussels.

1/ Telaio
In 2016 Telaio appeared with the straps of Société Choletaise de Fabrication. TELAIO is a collection of six demountable geometrical structures which can be used either as screens or consoles. The structures are combined with a set of straps to be stretched and placed. They are pieces of furniture to be made, composed, constructed. The collection explores the notions of geometry and flexibility. Endowed with a strong presence and at the same time almost transparent, collection TELAIO (LOOM in Italian) proposes a different way of perceiving space by superposing graphical and colourful elements.

2/ Rozmowa
In 2013 Marino Fermi asked Amaury to design a collection with Copper, Amaury decided to combine copper and handblown glass shapes. Rozmowa collection, a serie of five objects fashioned from copper surfaces and glass containers. The glass is imperfect, blown without using a mould, while the simple shapes of the copper are precise and perfectly fitted.

The individuals involved in the whole Rozmowa (or ‘conversation’) are Katarzyna, Piotr, Ola, Agnieszka and Macie, all people Amaury met In Poland during his several journey there.

3/ Prelude
For this first collaboration with Marino Fermi, we designed with Rémi Bouhaniche in 2010, the range is called Prelude and consists of 7 item in a limited edition of 20 pieces. They are made from flexible rattan mats and thin steel rods for the gallery, brussels. Instead of being woven around it, the rattan mats are tucked into the frames to create new ambiguous surfaces and space.

Granville Gallery

Granville Gallery

1/ Remèdes

2/ Messages

3/ Lisière

Limited editions for
Granville Gallery

1/ Remèdes
Remèdes highlights beneficial effects of some kind of food. The containers designed geometrically become alive and imprecise due to the properties of wicker and rattan. This series inspired me inspired me in the same way than « grandmother’s recipes » can inspire me. Simple shapes are driven by organic tension of life from wicker, rattan, leather, but also garlic, limes, oranges and figs. Remèdes is a series of small objects that mixes the points that seem important to me in the legitimity of an object : functionality, aesthetics and meaning.

2/ Messages
Messages is a secret box.
Messages allows you to unleash a secret by writing it down on paper and inserting it into one of three bottles. The message cannot be unveiled unless the object is broken. The secret thus is forever kept undelivered, yet the burden of it shared as it was unleashed, and allowed to exist outside of yourself

The individuals involved in the whole Rozmowa (or ‘conversation’) are Katarzyna, Piotr, Ola, Agnieszka and Macie, all people Amaury met In Poland during his several journey there.

3/ Lisière
The collection « Lisière » presents a small set of Table mirrors. These objects bearing witness to the technique, showcases the workmanship in their creation. This object, simple in its form, brings forth the different stages of manufacturing and the different parts of the profession.

2050

2050

A modular game for children

What will the world  look like in 2050 for our children ? This project was born from an order from the Playtime fair; to design a foam object for children with the specific technique of wire cutting.

2050 is a cube that you can decompose in order to recompose a landscape, from the plains to the high mountains. It symbolizes the path that our children will take in life, the trials to cross, the summits to pass. He humbly poses the question of what our world will be like in 2050? What will we do by then? Will we still be there? What will become of our children and our planet.

The object also talks about the growth chart and the evolution of things.
